morgan shields - SETTER CLINIC

Setting is one of the most difficult but rewarding positions on the court.  The setter is the quarterback of the volleyball team.  They put the ball in the hands of the players who can get it done.  They make
the hitters look good.  They do this by not only setting the ball into the perfect position but by know who to set and when to set each player to keep the other team constantly guessing.  There is way more strategy to setting than just giving the ball to the best hitter on the team.

Who better than Morgan Shields, a Wisconsin Badger Team Captain and All-American, to share her knowledge of setting with your child.  Morgan played setter on the NCAA Runner-UP Badger team in  2002.  She understands what it takes to get to the next level and will share with your kids the keys to being a successful setter.

Our focus is teaching kids the proper technique to set all positions on the court as well as learning how to become a 6 rotation player by becoming an offensive threat at the net.  By the end of the clinic your child should have an understanding of how to set outside, middle and back as well as how to dump, set against the flow and read the
middle blocker.
