The sessions are split into 2 categories.  Serve & Pass and the other is Setting & Hitting.  Below is a description of what will be taught in each clinic.

Serve & Pass -
Players will be taught to overhand serve from the ground as well as developing a jump serve.  We will touch proper technique in each situation to develop power and control.  Players will be taught how to jump and hit down or flat on the ball creating a powerful serve.  We will also teach them how to drop a ball short inside 10' line which is a lost art nowadays!  We will also teach them how to disguise a short serve by making it look like it is going deep but then drops in front of a passer's feet.

As a passer you need to learn how to serve receive as well as play defense.  There are multiple techniques to pass a ball and we are going to  show them at least 8 Different ways to do so.  This includes centerline, off center line, using their hands, diving, sprawling, pancaking and a few others.  We teach them what is desired but also show them what to do when in an emergency situation.

Hitting & Setting -
All players should know how to set a ball effectively so a hitter has an opportunity to kill the ball.  So much of this game is played out of system that the team that can play in system or play better out of system then their opponent will typically win!  We will teach how to set to the pins as well as the footwork to get to any pass in order to set a good ball anywhere.

Many younger hitters struggle with being inconsistent.   Everyone thinks it's the arm swing and sometimes it is but one of the most fundamental things is skipped in the process.  Your approach and direction of your approach is the most important thing to having success as a hitter.  We work on good sets and bad sets and the player making those crucial adjustments to get the ball out in front of their hitting shoulder.  We also will go over at least 6 ways to get a kill off of a good set or bad one.  This is what makes the difference of sitting on the bench or playing out there on the floor.
